1. We were made to worship
2. My worship changed when I stopped caring about what others thought and only cared about what God thought
3. When you see and worship with people who are sold out and bet the farm on Jesus, it will mess you up
My 9 year old son asked why I hold my hands up when I sing to Jesus. I told him the story about when he was a little child and he would hold out his hands to me and say “Up Dad”. He wanted me to gently pick him up and hold him because he knew my arms were a safe, warm and protected place. Well son, I told him, the same is true with me singing to my Heavenly Father. I’m a child of God. And when I raise my hands in worship, I’m saying “Up Dad” for God, the Ultimate Father, to gently pick me up in His arms; a safe, warm, and protected place.
